Reference last part of analysis in the piece below sent by a friend; my views are to the contrary and run thus:
The later analysis about McCain below is flawed. If correct then what it means is that the Republicans paid their taxes; on the contrary the track of the US republic shows the Republicans supported the rich. They were its main beneficiaries - The wars of 2001 in Afg and 2004 in Iraq as well as the the bail out of the rich that we are watching is a neo-con formulation indulged to the hilt by the Republicans and formulated by them when under Greenspan; most of due diligence control over the banking and financial service industry were removed.
Milton Friedman and the Chicago School (the heart of the Neo-Con philosophy) is the cause for the decay of the US and much of the EU. Friedman encouraged the adoption of free markets -advocating their non-regulation!
The US has always believed in free-enterprize and not free markets that Friedman advocated. This conflation of the two philosophies is the cause of so much pain and misery in the world today, untill the controls are brought back and the rich are made to cough out their ill-gotten gains, the malaise will continue and there will be social unrest globally.
Thus McCain's portrayal as representative of tax paying true dyed Republican is flawed. Secondly, it is not democracy that is to blame, but the use of the nation's might for personal enrichment flowing out of greed.
Khalid Aziz,
Subject: Demise of US in Progress ??
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinborough, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship." " The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." The Obituary of The USA follows: Born 1776, Died 2008 It doesn't hurt to read this several time: Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29 Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000 Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1 YET OBAMA STILL WON THE ELECTION ?????? Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…" Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. | http://www.scribd.com/doc/61839666/Indo-Pak-Wars-A-Pictorial-History | http://www.scribd.com/doc/21686885/TALIBAN-WAR-IN-PAKISTAN-AFGHANISTAN-A-WRITERS-PERCEPTIONS-FROM-2001-TO-2011 | http://www.scribd.com/doc/22457862/Military-Decision-making-and-leadership | | http://www.scribd.com/doc/22151765/History-of-Pakistan-Army-from-1757-to-1971-PRINTING-ENABLED-Do-acknowledge-to-the-author | http://www.scribd.com/doc/22455178/Letters-to-Command-and-Staff-College-Quetta-Citadel-Journal | http://www.scribd.com/doc/23150027/Pakistan-Army-through-eyes-of-Pakistani-Generals | http://www.scribd.com/doc/23701412/War-of-Independence-of-1857 | http://www.scribd.com/doc/22107238/HISTORY | http://www.scribd.com/doc/21693873/Indo-Pak-Wars-1947-71-A-STRATEGIC-AND-OPERATIONAL-ANALYSIS-BY-A-H-AMIN-THIS-BOOK-CAN-BE-PRINTED-FROM-THIS-SITE |
