Thank you for the article by Ibrahim and I also hope you will read the article I am attaching on the Holy Land. I agree with all he says except:
- He blames Islam and ignores US/Western intervention and occupation in North African, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, South Asian politics and economies who just so happen to have large Muslim populations. Much of what is happening is due to a reaction against the West supporting these assholes (dictators/despots) and keeping the masses in poverty and the countries from developing - now many will turn against the West - as is the case in Latin America (a Catholic region) due to our pathetic foreign policy with the rest of the World. Listen to what Ron Paul has to say!!!!
- It may be the USA/West will covertly attempt to use these revolts to put in more compliant puppets. I hope the youth are wise to these actions - with the INTERNET I suspect they are. I'd bet you a steak dinner the Libyan TNC is a puppet government that will be rejected by the majority, once the euphoria of getting rid of Gaddafi is over
- Any religion is dangerous once it becomes politicized/radicalized - not just Islam - lets take the Zionists or the Right-Wing Evangelicals
- You do know that until the Balfour Declaration, Muslims, Christians and Jews co-existed fairly well across much of North Africa and the Middle East - see attachment that provides some interesting history
- The problem is if who we have running against our "Black Bush" Obama - is the best America has to offer or the only ones the Corporates give money to so they have their Compliant Puppets - America is in trouble - and there I agree with the author - but it is not just Obama - it is all these crooks and intellectual prostitutes wanting to lead our nation.
- Maybe Ron Paul - but he says he is for Free Trade but against NAFTA - thus I hope he means he is for Free Enterprise and not Free Trade that has sent all of our manufacturing overseas over the past 40-50 years ????
- A major problem is Blind Flag-Waving Patriotism by a fairly well educated (we can read and write) but inward-looking un-worldly society easily misled by mainstream propaganda "Evil Empire", "War on Terror", "War on Islam". Thank God we now have some alternative news sources like LINK TV, Democracy Now, Al Jazerra, France 24, RT TV, etc. Of course most Americans will not look at them
- Thank God the youth seem to be waking up - Globally - maybe they are our only hope as us Baby Boomers in the USA were blinded by the good life as our politicos and corporates sent our jobs overseas, got us involved in useless bankrupting wars (our biggest export) making America a more dangerous place as innocents are killed and victims seek revenge - some on American soil, & gave us the most expensive healthcare/pharmaceuticals in the world
Other then Ron Paul - there is not a Democrat or Republican out there I would even consider!
Now I know you agree strongly with my position since you have rejected the System that has taken good care of you, and will now start writing your book due to your strong Catholic upbringing and moral values! I know you are not an ideologue and are accepting of all religions and races as long as they are not radicalized.
