** Cairo: Israeli Embassy Violently Attacked **

The Israeli Embassy in Cairo, a city both sensitive to, and symbolic of,
the peace treaty concluded between the two countries in 1979, was attacked
on Friday evening by demonstrators, during a violent demonstration in front
of the embassy which resulted in three deaths and about 450 wounded. The
demonstrators who had "invaded" the diplomatic mission threw "confidential"

A 31-year old man was arrested on Wednesday night in London, suspected of
involvement in the large-scale fraud suffered by Swiss bank UBS through the
activity of one of its traders. The Swiss banking giant, which has several
thousands of employees in its City of London offices, revealed in a very
brief statement on Thursday that the fraudulent transactions carried out by
one of its traders could mean a loss of up to two billion dollars and could

The 250,000 diplomatic cables collected by Wikileaks were released to the
public a few days ago. They had been under the watchful eye of several
large daily newspapers for a year. Now the cables' revelations are
starting to produce significant effects. Wikileaks knew of the sensitive
nature of some of the documents in its keeping, namely those containing the
names of individuals who could potentially be put into danger by the
