the Palestinians are getting a raw deal. When I was in RSA they used to ask me, if Apartheid was wrong in RSA, why is it okay for Israel against the Palestinians. America's foreign policy is morally bankrupt from this issue to South Asia, to the proxy wars in Africa to the coup d'états and dictators they have supported in Latin America.
I was just trying to show the ecological and demographic constraints to finding an equitable solution - which will be very very difficult. One would have thought the Brits and Americans and even the Jewish leaders could have seen this 50 years ago. If they can't see it now and they continue down a path of destruction as they seem to be from foreign to domestic policies - we are all in a heap of trouble.
Problem is, unless the Jews of Israel are prepared to eventually become a minority on their own lands and in a Democratic state hand over political power to the Arab population as the Afrikaner in South Africa did, knowing there would be major issues to deal with - chaos is around the corner - maybe even throughout the Middle East and North Africa and the cost of oil will soar and contribute to a potential global economic collapse - as my Brother Nick sent me - a Neutron Bomb ready to go off - and our leaders can't see it and/or all they care about is getting re-elected and not about doing what is right for humanity.
South Africa has surprised everyone - many guessed it would descend into anarchy and bloodshed but it did not - yes they have problems but they are dealing with them. I know as I lived there for the first 12 years of post-Apartheid from 2005-2008 and I saw South Africa deal with these changes - more positives than negatives and South Africans can be proud of their progress. Maybe Israel should look towards South Africa as an example.
One major problem with the USA, is that there are more right-winged Evangelicals that believe Armageddon is coming and the last great battle will be fought in this area, while they interpret the Bible that Israel must exit at all cost for this to take place before the rapture - my understanding anyway - may not have it 100%. There are more American Evangelicals that American Jews supporting the current U.S. policy towards the Israeli/Palestinian issue
