Real US Strategy for Afghanistan-Agha.H.Amin
as far as what is going to happen in Afghanistan after US withdrawal do read this analysis below--
It appears that the real US strategy is to create international opinion in favour of partitioning afghanistan.this would start from 2012 when as the US withdrawal gets accelerated the Taliban will reoccupy the south.
And when the Taliban start attacking the non Pashtun areas in the south the population of these areas would request the international community to provide safeguards.Safeguards that are likely are--
1-Partition of Afghanistan
2-Permanent US bases in North Afghanistan.
Internationally Russia India and even Iran will support this plan since the Taliban remain an existential threat to all non Pashtuns,to all moderate Pashtuns and to Shias.
The Taliban cannot resist any opportunity to kill a non Pashtun and specially a Shia and this fact will the basis of US plan to partition Afghanistan.
Partition of Afghanistan is entirely feasible and cost effective.
